Principal Announcement - Welcome Ms. Zou!We are delighted to announce the hiring of Jing (Zoe) Zou as the new principal of Mt. View Elementary School, effective for the 2025-26 school year! With her extensive experience and a proven track record of success in instructional leadership, Ms. Zou is well-equipped to guide our school and support our students, staff, and families.  She will be able to capitalize on the growth that our students have made and, through partnering with staff and families, enhance the experiences of students to further their learning.

Ms. Zou joins us from the Gresham-Barlow School District in Oregon, where she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering a positive school culture and implementing effective educational practices. As an assistant principal, she has successfully led initiatives that significantly improved student achievement and engagement. Her expertise in data-driven methods and her ability to create inclusive environments will be instrumental in ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

Her experience in building strong partnerships with families and promoting parent involvement resonates with our vision for a collaborative and supportive school environment. In addition to her leadership skills, Ms. Zou has a rich history of teaching at various educational levels. Her experiences as a bi-literate educator fit well with the students we serve at Mt. View Elementary.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Zou to the Mt. View family. Her dedication, passion for education, and innovative approach will be invaluable as we continue to inspire, challenge, and empower our students. Please join me in welcoming and supporting her as she transitions into her new role!

We wish Principal Woods all the best in his new role as an administrator with Southside School District and are grateful for all that he has contributed to Mt. View Elementary during his time with us. His leadership, dedication to literacy, and passion for our students and community have made a memorable impact.

Thank you for your continued support of Mt. View Elementary School. Together, we look forward to a successful and productive school year ahead!
